One of the highly appealing features that the next flavor of Android should pack when released is native support for taking screenshots on the device.

In Ice Cream Sandwich, users will be able to take screenshots without having to root their devices, as they need to do with the current flavors of Google's mobile operating system.

The guys over at Android Police have discovered that users will be able to take screenshots in Ice Cream Sandwich through simply pressing the Volume Down and Power buttons at the same time.

Some Android users can already benefit from this feature on their devices, courtesy of manufacturer additions, but no native screenshot taking was included in the OS until now.

One other thing that was discovered was that the code for taking screenshots have been included in Honeycomb as well, though users could not take advantage of it. Hopefully, ICS will change that.
