As soon as it will arrive on the market, the next flavor of Google's mobile Android operating system will provide users with a great deal of new features and apps, and an updated Google Plus (Google+) flavor will also be included into the mix, it seems.

Google has postponed the release of Ice Cream Sandwich to an unknown date, but will still have this enhancement packed with it, at least when it comes to the flavor of the OS that will land on shelves at Verizon, the guys over at Android Police note.

In the next flavor of Android, users will find a Google Plus 2.0 application available for them, with various UI changes when compared to the previous application release.

Apparently, the new Google Plus 2.0 application is compatible with older devices, and has been already installed on devices like the HTC EVO 3D.

One of the main changes that the new mobile software brings along is the merger of Messenger and Conversations in a single entity, called Chords.

Recently, Google announced the change of Huddle to Messenger in its Google Plus application, yet it seems that the company was not very happy with this name either, and that they already chose a new number for it in the upcoming Ice Cream Sandwich.

However, since the application has not been made official until now, chances are that it will arrive on devices without this new change inside. One way or the other, we should wait for the new application flavor to be formally introduced to learn more on the matter.

Some screenshots with the Google Plus (Google+) 2.0 application in Ice Cream Sandwich are also available for your viewing pleasure, courtesy of Android Police.

Apparently, there are some other changes that users will enjoy with this application as well, and more info on them will become available in the near future, so stay tuned.
