Ice Cream Sandwich for Xperia U Rolling Out Next Month

Sony appears set to update more of its 2012 devices to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich before the summer is over, after releasing the software for its Xperia S users.

Sony Mobile Italia hinted not too long ago at Ice Cream Sandwich for Xperia P for August, and it is now suggesting that Xperia U would get a taste of it the same month.

Responding to Facebook inquiries coming from users on the update, the company posted on the social networking site that the update is planned for August, without offering further info on the matter.

Xperia P was said to receive the platform upgrade sometime in early August, but Xperia U won’t taste it at the same time.

Hopefully, Sony will make an official announcement on the matter in the not too distant future, so that users know better what to expect for their devices.
