Soon, the owners of a Samsung Nexus S smartphone will be able to enjoy an update to the latest flavor of Google’s mobile operating system, namely Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

According to the latest rumors on the web, the smartphone will get a taste of the new OS iteration in the coming weeks.

Both Nexus S and Nexus S 4G devices will receive the update, apparently. While no specific release date has been made official as of yet, it should not be too long before details on the matter appear.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Google did start to offer the update to Nexus S users in December last year, but that it halted the delivery soon after, due to various issues that caused devices to crash and brick in some cases.
