Glu Mobile Inc., the worldwide leading publisher of mobile games, announced on Wednesday that a new title had been launched for mobile phone users around the world, namely Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. The new game is the third that Glu launches based on Fox Mobile Entertainment’s hit Ice Age franchise, and also comes in time for the release of Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, the animated film from Twentieth Century Fox.
“We are pleased to once again work with Fox Mobile Entertainment to create a great
game based on their newest Ice Age film,” said Jill Braff, senior vice president of global publishing, Glu. “The Ice Age franchise, with its global mass market appeal, is a hit perfectly suited for the mobile platform.”
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is meant to offer a new mobile experience to all users, while also continuing the line of Glu’s previous Ice Age
games. The already popular heroes of the title are back to plunge users into an action-packed rescue mission that also offers prehistoric fun. Sid, who has disappeared into a strange world beneath the ice, needs to recover his missing eggs, while also having to escape dinosaurs.
Those who will try
the game will have to avoid a series of dangers that include carnivorous plants, deadly tar pits and molten lava, slide down hills, ride on dinosaurs or swing from tall cliffs. In addition, they will also have to protect Sid’s precious cargo. At the same time, the game also includes a series of other features, such as support for Multiple Characters, allowing users to play as either Sid the sloth or the all-new Buck the weasel, or Cameo Appearances, as a series of characters from the film, including Manny and Diego, also appear in the game.
More features are available, such as an Extended Gameplay, due to the fact that
the title comes with ten playable action-oriented levels, Simple Controls (players can perform actions such as swinging, rolling and jumping, using a single button), as well as Familiar Locations, given the fact that the storyline, environments and game challenges are all faithful to the movie.
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, the mobile game, the company says, is already available on all major carriers worldwide. Those who would like to learn more details should go
