The final season for HBO's probably most appraised TV series kicked off with millions of viewers worldwide. 'Deadwood' entered the third and last season but rumors about a special ending for it are getting more mixed up by the day.
Initially, it was said that the show will end with a spectacular four-hour finale. Then, that it would be with two two-hour movies and, after that, nothing else was heard.
Even the actor playing the most foul-mouthed character to ever appear on the small screen is dumbfounded about HBO decision to end the show.
'I thought the whole thing was handled shabbily. But what the f**k, HBO and "Deadwood" have been very good to me. Al Sweareangen has been one of the greatest characters of my career', the 64-year-old actor said immediately after the decision was announced.
Recently, McShane spoke to the NY 'Daily News' and revealed that the future for the 'Deadwood' finale is rather bleak: 'You'll never know what the f**k really happened. And we'll see if the two-hour movies come into fruition or not'.
Meanwhile, the British-born actor has also to cope with rumors that the character everybody just loves to hate is going to be killed off in the final episodes. McShane says that he knows for a fact that the town of Deadwood burned down a couple of times before burning down and totally disappearing from the face of the earth in 1899.
'I'm told my character died in the stockyards in Denver, who knows what David Milch [creator and writer for the show] will come up with?', Ian said about the uncertain future of Al Sweareangen.
