14 DAY TRIAL // If the headline made you think that Magneto and Professor Xavier were just about to get hitched, it’s ok, that’s how Sir Ian McKellen wanted it to sound during a recent appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show.

Fans must know that McKellen and Patrick Stewart are longtime friends, besides starring together in “X-Men.”
McKellen is also openly gay, hence the ease with which he made the joke on the show.
“I’m going to marry Patrick,” he said, provoking fits of laughter.
“How else do you put that? I’m going to officiate at his wedding,” he added.
The actor did not elaborate on the topic, but he did say he officiated a gay marriage before and he was “crying [his] eyes out.” He also wore a fancy white outfit because he “didn’t want to upstage the bride.” Hilarious.
