The greatest fictional detective of all time, Mr. Sherlock Holmes, is having a great time professionally: what with series like BBC One’s “Sherlock” and its American counterpart “Elementary,” he’s getting more attention on camera than ever before.

2015 marks the year when we will be getting a big screen Sherlock Holmes story as well, but it will be one that will cast the famous investigator into an entirely different light.

For starters, Sherlock is now old. In Bill Condon’s “Mr. Sherlock,” our hero is now 93 years old and losing his memory. He is not done solving cases yet though, because he will be forced to find the solution to the biggest riddle of his career.

The film is based on the book “A Slight Trick of the Mind” by Mitch Cullin, and takes place in 1947. A first trailer for it has been released, and as usual, you can find it embedded below. Mr. Holmes is played by the brilliant Ian McKellen, with supporting roles from Laura Liney and Milo Parker.

“Mr. Holmes” will be out in the UK in June, with release dates for other territories to be announced soon.
