IX Infotech and Webalo have announced that they have entered a partnership, aiming to deliver Business Intelligence and Corporate Performance Management onto their customer's mobile devices. Thus, any IX Infotech customer (usually consisting of Fortune 500 and Global 2000 managers, executives and other mobile employees) will be able to access critical performance management information from any location at any time onto a mobile phone or PDA.

Webalo is an emerging leader in mobile business intelligence and has invented the Mobile Dashboard, an IBM-hosted web service that allows anyone to link pre-existing business spreadsheets to dynamically generated reports that are formatted automatically in order to be viewable on a specific mobile phone.

This service is available with the help of a unique and patented technology known as 'User Proxy'. The Mobile Dashboard enables IX Infotech to transform key reports, dashboards and key performance indicators generated by Outlooksoft into mobile applications that are easy to read and navigate. The mobile applications are fully adapted to the user interface of widely used smartphones like RIM's Blackberry devices, Palm Treos, handsets running Windows Mobile or even Java-enabled smartphones.

According to Karl Pearson, CEO of IX Infotech, customers will get immediate, real-time access to critical business information from the field by only having to use their mobile device. Why is this so convenient? There are quite a few fields where the business user is often on the go and doesn't have the opportunity to run to a computer each and every time he/she needs to view a report or send an email. This is why several services/capabilities, that only a computer could offer up until now are being made available for mobile phones, aiming to maintain and increase the business user's productivity regardless of location.
