OKI Networks Co. Ltd., a subsidiary company of OKI Electric Industry Co. Ltd., specialized in designing and manufacturing telecommunication products, has announced the launch of a brand-new product for micro and small enterprises. This product, dubbed IPstage 1000, is a Telephony Box equipped with a broadband and a key telephone system. The company will concentrate on selling the new product in Italy, Spain and Japan, countries where it already sells key telephone systems.

The new communication style proposed by OKI Networks, namely IP telephony, is meant to meet customers' requirements and deliver better communication quality while reducing communication costs. IPstage 1000, the latest addition to the IPstage Series, is considered to be the next-generation IP telephony business product, aimed at small and medium-sized companies.

By incorporating key telephone systems, IPstage 1000 allows organizations to set up the Internet, printers and network a lot faster and easier, when new offices are opened or new units are rolled out. Also by using the IP phone services, companies will be able to cut down their tele-communication fees and facilitate a broader range of communication methods between partners.

Until now, installing and configuring key telephone systems has required advanced technical expertise. However, by incorporating a router know-how, IPstage 1000 can be installed and operated by users without any technical background. Due to its energy-efficient, silent and compact design, it can be installed anywhere in the office. IPstage1000 also offers a new communication environment, incorporating up to 30 IP extension telephones, software phones and IP multi keytelephones.

"The 'IPstage 1000' enables network environments to be configured easily without special technical expertise and in turn, saves time. We believe it will help businesses improve management productivity and increase their competitive edge," Masasuke Kishi, president of OKI Networks, said. "As a leader in the field of IP phones, OKI will continue to leverage its comprehensive expertise together with technical knowledge it has garnered over the years, with a focus on offering added-value communication style."
