IObit just released the second version of their security suite for consumers, Malware Fighter. It brings to the table a fresh interface inspired by Windows 8’s modern look as well as improvements in detection and elimination of threats.

“Our team has spent the last year tirelessly working on Version 2. Finally, IObit Malware Fighter 2 is here. We have found that many users have a difficult time understanding how to operate most anti-malware products.

“So our brand-new metro-style UI for IObit Malware Fighter 2 greatly simplifies the user experience,” said Michael Zhao, marketing director at IObit.

The touch-friendly layout looks great and allows easy control over the tasks at hand and fast access to various areas in the application such as the configuration panel of the quarantine zone.

The product comes with full support for the latest operating system from Microsoft and should work quietly in the background, notifying the user only when there is something important to report.

According the press release, IObit Malware Fighter 2 is now equipped with an improved engine that is faster and more accurate at detecting and removing malicious code.

Also new in this release is the Cloud Security section, which allows users to upload suspicious files to IObit’s automated threat analysis system and receive details about the legitimacy of the item.
