The world is turning into one of wireless connectivity, so IOGEAR decided this was a good time for the Wireless 3D Digital Kit (GW3DHDKIT) to make its appearance.

Composed of a transmitter and receiver, it can link to two HDMI devices at once and stream their content to even displays from other rooms.

Housed in a black casing with rounded edges, it looks “modern but understated” and streams up to 1,080p HD and 3D content over a maximum of 100 feet (30 meters or so).

The 5 GHz wireless technology is what allows for this video quality over such a range, while the transmitter, receiver, IR blast cable and remote control ensure wide usability and support.

More precisely, in addition to DVRs and set-top boxes, IOGEAR's device works with DVD players and even 3D Blu-ray devices. Audio output is of up to 5.1 channels of surround sound.

“Our Wireless 3D Digital Kit advances the technology of streaming A/V content and is a perfect fit for those who already have a 3D display or are planning to get one,” said Bill Nguyen, senior marketing manager for IOGEAR.

“The GW3DHDKIT offers an easy, affordable way to stream both HD and 3D entertainment discretely with multiple retrofit and installation options.”

For a batter understanding of how the Wireless 3D Digital kit works, the transmitter and receiver can stream standard resolution, HD or 3D content to a second room, not just one, by directly connecting a HDTV to the transmitter's loop-through (local) port and leaving the other HDTV on the wireless receiver.

IOGEAR set up an extensive, comprehensive product page, located here, where prospective buyers can go and see everything known about it, from requirements and features to the base specs.

The item should start selling soon enough, for the price of $379.95, which is more or less the same as 277.25 Euro.
