Nowadays, wireless connectivity is something that pretty much every new electronic, especially PC products, usually incorporate right off the bat, but for those that don't, IOGEAR created the Universal Wi-Fi N GWU627.

Wireless connectivity was an expensive commodity once, but now it is something that no longer shocks anyone, especially with practically every new phone featuring something of the sort.

WiFi is among the more popular forms of such network access, and it seems that IOGEAR chose this very technology to work with.

Basically, the company created a certain something called Universal Wi-Fi N Adapter GWU627, whose purpose is to grant support for the IEEE 802.11n standard to any A/V device.

In other words, any electronic with Ethernet can access home networks wirelessly once equipped with this little invention.

Dual antennas (1T1R) are present, so that data transfers may be done at up to 150 Mbps, which should be more than enough for music downloads, online gaming, video streaming and running HD multimedia applications.

What's more, a WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button allows one to quickly set up the connection itself, automatically choosing a network name and “strong WPA data encryption and authentication”.

"An abundance of quality digital content is creating demand for devices that can conveniently access and stream all our music, videos, games and more," said Bill Nguyen, senior marketing manager at IOGEAR.

"IOGEAR's goal is to make connectivity dynamic and the Universal Wi-Fi N Adapter does this by providing wireless Internet access to fully utilize a game console, Blu-ray, DVR, or HD TV's built-in widgets, while offering convenience of placement and eliminating cable clutter."

Priced at $49.95, the Universal Wi-Fi N Adapter, model GWU627, should be up for sale at Gamestop stores worldwide. Its It is backwards compatibility with 802.11b/g protocols should give it an extra advantage, as it will work with even less than recent networks,
