IOGEAR launched several things this week, one of them being a USB 3.0 device that promises to transfer data between a computer and up to four USB 3.0 devices.

That's right, this is one of those hub controllers, one that can switch between the devices linked to it on the fly.

That includes cameras, HDDs, other storage devices, multi-card readers and whatever else uses the standard interface.

With the 5 Gbps maximum throughput, files of 25-30GB can be copied in a minute or so, instead of the 15 minutes that USB 2.0 would need.

Speaking of USB 2.0, the hub is backwards compatible with it, as well as USB 1.1 products.

IOGEAR wants $49.95 (37.32 Euro) for the thing. If you feel it’s worth it, or want to figure that out, go here.
