I always enjoy a good product that bundles a number of features which you can just find useful. One such product was released by IOGEAR on Monday. Dubbed IOGEAR's USB Net ShareStation, this device allows users to connect one USB device and share it across an Ethernet network. At a price tag of $80, this gadget is small enough to fit anyone's pockets.

The IOGEAR GUIP201 features two plug-in ports, namely a USB and an Ethernet port. It also provides a DC power connector, which gives access to the device power supply. Through the built-in USB port, users get to connect a number of USB compatible devices and share them across the network. The devices that can be connected to IOGEAR's gadget include an external hard drive, flash drive, memory card reader, USB webcam, USB speaker, or USB Multi-Function Printer.

If a user is to connect a USB web camera to this device, it could be used as a simple and low cost security monitoring solution for home and/or small office. The number of applications for the USB Net ShareStation is rather generous, which makes the product so much dependable. You will also have to take in consideration the fact that it can be easily installed and provides support for the latest Microsoft operating systems, namely Windows XP and Vista.

"Our USB Net ShareStation lets consumers access any flash drive, hard drive, printer, speaker or Webcam on their network, greatly increasing productivity as they can work off of USB tools as if they were connected directly to their computer," said Miranda Su, executive vice president at IOGEAR, in this Monday's press release.

IOGEAR is an American company which manufactures a number of easy to use products designed mainly for the electronics consumer market. This new product follows the company's general product line.
