For its upcoming video card design

Remember Larrabee? In case you don't you'll simply love this. Because INTEL has developed a solution to its crappy onboard VGA adapters. And the project involves the development of single and multi-GPU solutions sold for under $300. In practice this could just as well mean that INTEL will soon become the 3rd VGA chip manufacturer in the world.

As curios as it may sound, INTEL is not at its first try. If you remember the legendary i740 VGA adapter you know what I'm talking about. There's no point in looking at the past but even after 10 years after the i740 was phased out I don't understand what the reason behind INTEL's decision to eliminate the graphics segment out of its business was. However Larrabee promises to be a lot different.

If you take a minute and look at INTEL's job subsection you will notice that a new add for "graphics and visual computing" has appeared on their website. I won't tell you much about the add itself; it's just the message that counts. Summing it up in a few words: if you want to be part of the next generation in graphics and gaming experiences, apply here. Or something like that. The chipmaker even uses Google Ads on some websites in order to promote its project as much as it can.

According to some non-official sources this project requires not just new engineers and PCB designers but also entire support teams as well as marketing and PR people. So who knows, maybe there's a job out there for you too. If you think you can help INTEL re-become the graphics manufacturer you all knew, you know what you have to do. Who knows, maybe this time something useful could come out of Larrabee, not just another VGA adapter with no hardware functions.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
