IMGA Opens Registrations for Annual Mobile Games Competition

The 8th International Mobile Game Awards is now open for entries for all game developers who want to enter the competition.

Launched back in 2004, IMGA is now one of the most important competition that highlights the new trends in mobile entertainment for all platforms.

No less than 1,500 mobile games have been reviewed by IMGA during the last seven years, including games made for the iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile, bada, BREW MP, Blackberry, WebOS, J2ME, Flash, HTML5 or any other widely spread operating system for mobile phones.

For this year developers are invited to enter one of the categories available: Best Mobile Social Game, Excellence in Gameplay, Best Casual Game, Best Real World Game, Most Innovative Game, and Best Sports Game.

Registration is free and closes on January 16, 2012. IMGA's jury will announce the 30 nominated games for every category on January 20, 2012.

Starting January 20, the public will be invited to vote their favorite game, which will win the People's Choice Award.

The winners in each category will be announced by the jury of IMGA on March 1, 2012.

Moreover, a Grand Prix prize will be awarded by the jury, but the decision has to be made unanimously.
