The Internet Movie Database has ousted version 2.8 of its popular Movies & TV app for iDevices which is now compatible with the latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS 6.
In addition to bringing compatibility with iOS 6, IMDb Movies & version TV 2.8 delivers improved integration with Facebook, and the ability to set your Showtimes location by entering your city, state, or any popular landmark (such as the Washington Monument).
According to the developers, iOS 6 customers will also be able to map Filming Locations without leaving the app.
Other enhancements include the ability to share news articles and showtimes listings more easily, post app feedback and questions to the IMDb Mobile Message Boards, and better list handling of movies with special characters.
IMDb Movies & TV is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad and needs iOS 5.0 or later as the minimum requirement to run the app.
