Dovecot, an open source IMAP and POP3 email server for Linux/UNIX-like systems, written with security primarily in mind, is now at version 2.2.3.

Highlights of Dovecot 2.2.3:

• The Solr plugin will only do soft commits from now on; • An %N modifier has been added for variables, such as %H-like "new hash"; • POP3 message order field (for migrations) is now supported; • A mailbox { driver } has been added in order to specify a different mail storage format for the mailbox; • The initial lib-sasl library has been added to the client side for SASL support; • Various URLAUTH fixes have been implemented; • Dovecot no longer returns an ENVELOPE reply, with a huge literal value, if the subject only contains whitespace (IMAP).
