Most people probably won't immediately tell the difference

Curved displays have been around as an idea and as actual products way before OLED technology became feasible for large formats.

Samsung, being one of the oldest companies active in the display industry, brought quite a few of them to IFA 2013.

I was able to make it to the exhibition hall yesterday (September 6, 2013), just before closing time, which means it wasn't as crowded as usual.

As such, I had a good and unimpeded view of the products, as I did of the company's UHD Curved OLED TVs.

Check out the 65-inch model in the gallery below. It's not nearly as thin as the OLED versions, but it's not like you'll have to move it after the delivery people put it where you want it in your home.

Note: Sebastian Pop and fellow editor Ionut Arghire are on the floor at IFA 2013 and are bringing you pictures and live reports on the latest products and previews. Find them all here.
