The Ascend W2 was prematurely shown back in June and made it to shelves one month ago. Unfortunately, the Windows Phone handset is only available in China for the moment, but word has it that Huawei plans to release it in other emerging markets as well.

Huawei Ascend W2 is powered by Windows Phone 8 and packs a powerful 1.4 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, along with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory.

It also sports a vibrant 4.3-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (768 x 1024 pixels) resolution, as well as an improved 8-megapixel main camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p@30fps) video recording.

Last but not least, the Ascend W2 allows users to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD memory card.
