A mid-range, yet full feature-packed Android smartphone

Today at IFA 2013 in Berlin, we had the chance to have a closer look at one of the latest smartphones coming from Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation, namely the Desire 500.

Made official last month, the new handset arrives on the market as an affordable 4.3-inch device aimed at bringing appealing smartphone features to more people out there.

HTC Desire 500 was launched with a 1.2GHz processor packed inside, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of additional storage space.

The new mobile phone also comes with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back with support for HD video recording, and with a front camera for making video calls while on the go.

Running under Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the new device is powered by a 1800 mAh Li-Ion battery, measures 131.8 x 66.9 x 9.9 mm, and weighs 123 grams.
