This concept from CSR might teach makers of keyboard covers a thing or two

Keyboard docks and covers are a standard element of tablets these days, even if they are only optional additions.

That means that there is and always will be a market for tablet-compatible keyboards.

Going by that idea, CSR (Cambridge Silicon Radio Limited) brought something interesting to IFA 2013.

Said interesting item is a very thin touch-based keyboard made of a mix of plastic and copper.

It's easily the world's thinnest touch keyboard, at 0.5 mm. Its touch latency is of 12 ms (no noticeable lag).

CSR made it with the help of CIT printed conductors, a reel-to-reel printing process that allows copper and other conductors to be applied to the surface of the flexible membrane.

The CSR touch keyboard is still a prototype, and hopefully, it won't fail to become an actual product.
