The most powerful and most expensive device in Alcatel’s latest series of additions to the One Touch Pop family of smartphones is the Alcatel One Touch Pop C7, which was on display at the company’s booth at IFA 2013, after being unveiled only yesterday.

The handset packs a 5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a FWVGA resolution, and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, though paired with only 512MB of RAM.

The new mobile phone was made official with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, a front camera for making video calls while on the go, 4GB of internal memory, expansion microSD card slot, and support for HSDPA+ networks.

Alcatel announced the One Touch Pop C7 with Google’s Android operating system loaded on top, as well as with a variety of pre-loaded applications. The phone should start shipping before the end of the year.
