Alcatel might have made official a bunch of affordable devices at IFA 2013 in Berlin this year, but none of them is capable of making enthusiasts rejoice as is the Alcatel One Touch Hero, which was unveiled on Wednesday.

We stumbled upon the new mobile phone at Alcatel’s booth at the IFA trade fair, and we also snapped a few photos with the device, which was presented there in two different colors, namely Black and White.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the new mobile phone was announced with a large 6-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen display, as well as with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor inside, which should be capable of delivering high-end performance capabilities to all users.

The specifications list of the new mobile phone also includes 2GB of RAM, along with 8GB / 16GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

Furthermore, the new mobile phone was made official with a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, capable of recording full HD videos, as well as with a front camera for making video calls while on the go.

Alcatel One Touch Hero also packs Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n connectivity capabilities inside, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB v2.0, GPS receiver, and with a non-removable Li-Ion 3400 mAh battery. The phone also features wireless charging capabilities.

The new smartphone arrives on the market with Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating loaded on top, as well as with various applications loaded on it right from the start.

Furthermore, Alcatel announced the device with an accompanying stylus, which is meant to provide users with some additional capabilities.

On top of that, the phone will arrive on shelves in the not too distant future with an E Ink cover, which will provide a new digital experience to all users, courtesy of a wider viewing angle.
