Although Samsung announced the Galaxy Note sequel today, it appears that previous rumors on the smartphone’s specs sheet were pretty accurate.

The only surprise is the fact that Samsung decided to launch the Galaxy Note 2 with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform out of the box. Still, this information also leaked a few days ahead of the official launch, though Samsung did not confirm it at that time.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is equipped with a quad-core processor clocked at 1.4 GHz, a stunning 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD capacitive touch and an impressive 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.

There’s also 2GB of RAM inside, along with a huge 3100 mAh Li-Ion battery. The Galaxy Note 2 sports a secondary 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and LTE support.

Just as the original Galaxy Note, this one comes with an S-Pen, which is accompanied by various optimized applications that offer unique features.
