14 DAY TRIAL // Chinese handset maker Huawei has just announced the upcoming availability of Ascend G600. Although it's not among the best smartphones recently launched on the market, Huawei Ascend G600 can be positioned in the high-end range.
In this regard, the smartphone come with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, which is complemented by 768 MB of RAM.
In addition, the Ascend G600 boasta an impressive 8-megapixel rear photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. There's also a secondary front-facing camera for video calls.
Another strong point of the smartphone is the 4.5-inch LCD IPS HD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 960 x 540 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.
On the inside, Huawei Ascend G600 packs 4GB of storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.
Huawei decided to focus on the multimedia aspect as well, which is why the device comes with double speakers with DTS surround sound.
Such a power-hungry hardware needs a high-capacity battery, and huawei though of that also. The Ascend G600 drains energy from a 1930 mAh Li-Polymer battery, which can be fully charged in four hours, powered on in five seconds, and provides more than 15 days of standby time.
When it comes to connectivity, Huawei Ascend G600 is an all-rounder. The smartphone offers a wide range of connectivity options, including Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth and DLNA, as well as NFC (Near Field Communication) technology.
It is also worth mentioning Huawei Ascend G600 is powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, though we expect the handset maker offer a Jelly Bean upgrade next year.
According to Huawei, the Ascend G600 will be available in black and white "selected markets" from September for a suggested retail price of 300 EUR.
