Besides the worldwide coverage that the launch of the Internet Explore 9 Beta version had and still does today, the eccentric band Gorillaz took part at a 7-minute promotional video for IE9, according to seattle pi.

Now, you might know more about Internet Explorer 9 than about Gorillaz, since the software has been released yesterday, so a little presentation of the band imposes itself.

Gorillaz is a group created in 1998 by Damon Albarn of alternative rock band Blur and British cartoonist Jamie Hewlett, co-creator of the comic book Tank Girl.

It is basically a musical project consisting of the Gorillaz music itself and an extensive fictional universe depicting a "virtual band" of comic book characters.

This band has four animated members: 2D (lead vocalist, keyboard), Murdoc Niccals (bass guitar), Noodle (guitar and occasional vocals) and Russel Hobbs (drums and percussion).

They have a rich fictional universe present in the band's website and music videos, as well as a number of other media.

The music is a collaboration between several musicians, with Albarn being the only permanent musical contributor.

Their musical style is a mix of several musical genres, with many influences that include dub, hip hop, alternative rock, electronic and pop music.

Anyway, their two hits "Clint Eastwood" and "Feel Good Inc." were played over and over again during the last decade.

As for the new Internet Explore 9 Beta version, you should know that it can display media-rich elements thanks to HTML5, the new emerging standard for creating websites, which is already supported by other browsers.

The IE9's deep support of the HTML5 is promoted in a new website, BeautyOfTheWeb.com, which showcases online "experiences" from Microsoft partners such as Photobucket, IMDb, Amazon, eHow and the BBC's "Top Gear" television show.

Because the Gorillaz style fitted the innovative IE9, the video presenting the software is worth the sight, and besides, it will fully explain what you should know about Internet Explorer Beta version, with the sense of humor of the guys from Gorillaz.
