With Internet Explorer 9’s evolution from Beta to Release Candidate, Microsoft has also increased the number of localized versions of the browser. IE9 RC Build 9.0.8080.16413 comes with support for no less than 40 languages, a full list which I included at the bottom of this article.

Microsoft launched IE9 RC earlier this week, on February 10, 2011 making it available for download and testing to users worldwide.

“The Release Candidate of Internet Explorer 9, available now at BeautyOfTheWeb in 40 languages, reflects our unique approach to building the best experience of the Web on Windows,” revealed Dean Hachamovitch, corporate vice president, Internet Explorer.

“IE9 also reflects a more open and transparent approach with its regular cadence of platform previews for developers and enthusiasts. With the Release Candidate, we’ve taken to heart over 17,000 pieces of feedback about IE9.

“You will find the product has made progress on all fronts—performance and standards, user experience, and safety and privacy.”

Early adopters that tried IE9 Beta might already know that the Redmond company had provided only 33 localized versions of the release in September 2010.

The number of supported languages has grown by 7 now that IE9 is available, and the software giant is inviting users worldwide to grab the last development milestone of Internet Explorer 9 before RTW (release to web), test it and provide feedback.

“We want to thank the millions of people who have installed and used Internet Explorer 9 during pre-release testing. The value of your feedback in developing the product is hard to overstate,” Hachamovitch added.

Here are the languages supported by IE9 RC:

Arabic, Catalan, Chinese (Hong Kong), Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English (US), Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi (India), Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian Japanese, Korean, Norwegian (Bokmål), Polish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Portuguese (Portugal), Romanian, Russian, Slovenian, Spanish (Spain), Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Bulgarian, Croatian, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Serbian (Latin), and Slovak.
