Indian company Intex Technologies has just announced the immediate availability of its latest affordable Android tablet, the i-Buddy 7.2.

Customers in search for a cheap Android tablet may want to take Intex’s latest slate into consideration due to low price and neat features.

However, Android enthusiasts should know that the i-Buddy 7.2 is exclusively available for purchase via Indian retailer Snapdeal.

Those who decide that Intex’s tablet is exactly what they are looking for will have to come up with Rs 5,490 (105 USD or 80 EUR) upfront in order to grab this one.

Affordability aside, Intex i-Buddy 7.2 offers nice features to first time Android users, but we do not recommend hardcore fans to grab this one and look for more advanced devices.

The slate is powered by Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and sports a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display with 800 x 480 pixels resolution.

Hardware-wise, the i-Buddy 7.2 tablet is equipped with a single-core Cortex A8 core A13 processor clocked at 1 GHz, as well as Mali-400 GPU, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory. The latter can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

The slate offers Wi-Fi connectivity, but users will also be able to take advantage of 3G data support via USB dongle.

Intex i-Buddy 7.2 sports a sub-par VGA front-facing camera, which can be mostly used for video-calls and self-portraits. The tablet comes pre-loaded with several popular Android games, such as Angry Birds, Cut the Rope, Fruit Ninja, but more can be installed via Google Play store.

The tablet is powered by a 2800 mAh Li-Polymer battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer. It is also worth mentioning that the slate is pretty light at 330g (battery included) and measures 194 x 120 x 13mm.
