Demi Lovato has been to hell and back, even though you couldn't tell by looking at her. In a new interview to promote her MTV documentary, the singer talks about another thing she's done and of which she's not proud.

In a new interview cited by The Huffington Post, the star, who is now promoting her “Stay Strong” documentary, which chronicles her road to recovery after rehab, reveals how she used to trash hotels rooms.

Asked why she'd do such a thing, Demi can't offer another explanation except for “just for the hell of it.”

“I break things. I've trashed dressing rooms just for the hell of it. I like to throw things when I'm bored. I was trying to catch the deli meat on the ceiling... it ended up turning into kind of a food fight!” the 19-year-old star reveals.

The interview was part of the promo tour Demi is now on, to drum up publicity for her documentary, of which she says she made it to help other girls who might be in the same situation.

Fans must know that, after her meteoric rise to stardom, Demi developed anorexia and bulimia, started to self-harm and would often self-medicate to deal with all these problems.

She had a meltdown on a private jet, when she punched one of her friends / backup dancers so hard she sent her flying from her chair.

Eventually, Demi's parents convinced her she needed help for all her issues, and she willingly went to rehab.

In the aforementioned documentary, the former Disney star says recovery is a process she's dealing with on a day by day basis, which means she's relapsed on a few instances since she came out of rehab.

However, she knows that this too is part of the healing process.

“I cannot tell you that I have not thrown up since treatment. I cannot tell you that I have not cut myself since treatment. I’m not perfect. It’s a daily battle,” she said, as we also reported a few days ago.
