Victoria Beckham has been keeping very busy as of late: the new mom returned to work shortly after giving birth to her fourth child, daughter Harper Seven, putting out a new fashion collection. It's no wonder then that she looks so tired.

Shortly after she debuted her new line, to much critical acclaim, Victoria started being targeted in the press for looking particularly tired in the face, moody, pouty.

This led to some speculation about how she was getting poutier as she grew older and how she doesn't have it in her to be happy, even though she finally had a daughter and is, without a doubt, building a name for herself as a fashion designer.

She should be glowing, voices online were saying, in response to photos of Victoria like the one also attached to this article.

With all this, Victoria is not miserable, she says in a statement cited by the Daily Mail. She's just tired – as any mother in her position would be.

“Look, if people want to say I’m miserable then so be it. I’m really not. I have a lot on my plate. I’m not going to lie about it, I’m tired,” the former singer explains.

“I’m really tired but I’m also very happy with my life. I’m basically just like any woman who’s working and has lots of children – it’s tough,” she adds.

Unlike other celebrities, Victoria is both a hands-on mom and a hands-on designer, so this instantly translates for her into many a sleepless night.

That's why she looks so pale, drawn in the face, and has huge dark circles under her eyes, though she's never looked anything but impeccable.

“I’m not getting much sleep at all. Harper’s not sleeping that great, and I’ve been taking Skype business calls throughout the night too because of the collections,” Mrs. Beckham says.

“I’m up with the baby as all mums are and I wouldn’t have it any other way. There’s not a team of people doing it for me,” she adds.

She wouldn't want it any other way, though, she insists. She may be tired but she's also feeling more fulfilled than ever, both in her personal and professional life.
