Even if you’re larger and you lose weight, you never cease to be that fat person

Ever since she was on Dancing With the Stars a while back, Kelly Osbourne has been transforming into a much fitter, healthier version of herself. Today, even though she’s very slender and toned, Kelly still sees her “fat” self in the mirror.

At the end of the day, she muses in a new ITV interview cited by Fit Perez, once you’re heavier, even though you lose weight, you never really cease to be that “fat person.”

“When you see yourself in a certain way, that never changes. People who are larger and then they lose weight, you will always look in the mirror and see yourself as that fat girl, no matter what happens,” she says.

That may not always apply to herself but, as far as the rest of the world is concerned, she will always be the heavier Kelly.

“I don't see myself as that any more, but I did use to be 65lbs [29.4 kg] heavier,” she says.

“I get this every single day: ‘Oh you're so much skinnier and prettier in real life.’ I'm like, ‘oh thank you, what a compliment. Have a nice day’,” Kelly explains.

Even though it’s clear that she still has some self-esteem issues, Kelly is trying to keep a positive outlook on life. On that note, she’s already learned a very important lesson from her many, sometimes very unsettling experiences.

“It just… you gotta start living life on life's terms. It isn't perfect. Things come your way. You have to see it as a lesson. You have to make mistakes and learn from them. It's the only way to grow,” she says in the same interview.

Earlier this year, reports were saying Kelly was losing the battle with the bulge, having already started to pile on the pounds. From her latest interview, it’s clear that’s not even close to reality – the Daily Mail has video.
