Reality star says she’s not looking for a new man but hasn’t lost all hope for happiness

Kim Kardashian’s marriage to Kris Humphries lasted only 72 days and ended in what must be the most controversial divorce of our times. While this would be enough to make anyone feel faith in love, the reality star still clings to some.

She still believes in love and remains confident that the day will come when she too will meet her Prince Charming, she says in a new interview cited by the Daily Mail.

For the time being, though, she’s not looking for him.

“I'm not looking [for a new man],” Kim says. “I believe in love... always,” she adds.

Asked what she takes from the very troubled year she’s been having, what with the whirlwind romance, the insanely eccentric wedding and then the unexpected decision to divorce Kris, Kim’s answer is experience.

“I'm really thinking that 2011 was a lot of learning lessons. 2012, I'm just excited for the New Year and the new me,” she explains.

This is not the first time that Kim goes on the record to say that the failed marriage to Kris – her second to date – hasn’t made her lose all hope in eternal love.

In her post-divorce interview, for instance, she said it just happened that Kris wasn’t her Mr. Right even though she initially believed he was.

She also blamed the divorce on her thinking she was living in a fairytale: shortly after the wedding, she realized her marriage was anything but that, so she decided to pull the plug on it before it was too late.

“I believe in love and the dream of having a perfect relationship, but my idea of it has changed. I think I need to not live in a fairy tale like that. I think I maybe need to just snap out of it and be a little more realistic,” she said, as we also informed you at the time.

Of course, skeptics may argue that the sole reason why Kim hasn’t lost hope in love is because her marriage to Kris was a PR stunt from the start; there are various theories out there that indicate she and E! producers set up the marriage for better ratings for her reality show.
