Anyone who wished there was a new external HDD to feast their eyes on will be glad to learn that there are two of them coming out of I-O Data's labs.

The company has built the HDPC-UT series, which is made up of two members, for now, both of which are meant to connect to PCs, or whatever else, via USB 3.0.

They measure 75 (W) x 112 (H) x 14 (D) mm, which translates into 2.95 x 4.40 x 0.55 inches.

Additionally, their weight is of 160 grams, or 0.35 pounds in total.

Finally, there are three color versions, silver/gray, black/blue and Bordeaux/brown, leading to six models in total.

The storage options are of 500 GB and 1 TB. I-O Data wants $146 / 112.26 Euro and $199 / $153 Euro, respectively, in exchange for each.
