Reese Witherspoon does Vogue magazine to promote upcoming film “Water for Elephants”

Before she hits the big screen opposite Robert Pattinson in “Water for Elephants,” Reese Witherspoon has to promote the film. In the latest issue of Vogue magazine, the actress talks about the film, training for it, fame and, last but not least, the media attention she’s getting in between projects.

After admitting that she doesn’t “get up in the morning to make movies,” Reese says that what she most regrets about working in the industry is losing all trace of her privacy.

At first, she says, she fooled herself into thinking interest in her would soon die down, but it only got worse in time.

Now, she’s come to terms with the fact that she will never have a normal life and, while, most days, she’s grateful for so many things, there are also moments when she simply can’t fight back tears.

“I mean, I feel like an ingrate for even thinking anything isn’t good. I’m very, very, very lucky. But... umm... probably that I parted with my privacy a long time ago. We went different ways,” Reese says.

“And sometimes I mourn it. Sometimes I will sit in the car and cry. Because I can’t get out. That’s the only thing: I mourn the loss of my privacy,” the actress adds.

She describes her life as “crazy” and admits that she sometimes feels as if everything is happening too fast and she can’t focus on anything in particular, but there are aspects to fame that she really likes.

Take, for instance, the fact that she gets to meet and interact with so many people.

“I get hugged a lot. Which is fun. Mostly it’s all good, positive energy that comes to me. I like people. And at the end of the day, we’re all just people, you know? We’re all just going through it,” Reese says.

“Nobody’s life experience is all that much different than anyone else’s. We’ve all had our share of heartbreak. It’s the universal language of life,” she adds.
