The speed and accuracy of the process is amazing

Today I created a scope for Ubuntu phone called Softpedia Linux Twitter and the process is incredibly simple, not to mention the fact that the publishing procedures are easy to follow and amazingly fast.

I personally don't have any coding experience, so it would be impossible to write something in QML from scratch. That didn't stop me from having a scope published in the official store in a couple of hours. How is that possible? It's done with a tool called scopecreator that runs from the terminal. We already have a tutorial in place for the procedure.

What's more important is the amazing support the developers have provided for regular people and I suspect that will change even more once Ubuntu will get some more traction. Besides the building process for the scopes and apps, the publishing process is extremely fast, much more than any other platform like Android or iOS.

This is done with the help of an automated process that tests the click packages and that takes the human component out of the loop. The security of the system is done in such a way that apps and scopes can't hurt or interact with the other components and they run in a sandbox. There is no need to test the application for days before it gets published and the updating process is just as simple. In fact, the entire vetting process for the scope took only a few seconds, which is insane if you really think about it.
