I Guess One Pussy Is Gone Forever

I was wondering whether the Pussycat Dolls were still alive as a band. Why am I asking this, you'll ask - well, ever since they released "Wait a Minute" (that's right, the one with Timbaland), they kept things pretty much low key and played a little game I like to call "lie low while you're waiting for your second album release". Which is not bad news, considering that - if we are to pay attention to all the unofficial, unconfirmed and yet pertinent rumors flying around on the Internet - it would seem that the album in question is going to be a big package. It has been repeatedly claimed that all the girls will be having head vocals on the new Pussycat album, and that it may be sold as a boxed set, together with Nicole's single album "Her Name Is Nicole".

I won't even go into the whole "when is Nicole's solo album coming out" thing, since I think we made enough fun of that already - but I still believe releasing it in a boxed set with the new Pussycat album would not make for the smartest PR move in the world. The are also rumors that a few of Nicole's solo tracks will be re-recorded by the Dolls for the new LP - which sounds like a better alternative. Trouble is, the Dolls are now one member short, since the oldest member of the band, Carmit Bachar, just announced she will be hanging her sexy, burlesque-style Pussy attire and pursuing bigger, better plans. She didn't yet give a specific reason for her decision, but she did post a message on the Dolls' website officially announcing her decision to call it quits.

"I wanted to be the first to tell you that I am no longer in the Pussycat Dolls but we will always be sisters forever! Thanks to all the dedicated fans for your unconditional love and support! Exciting news is coming and I promise to keep you all posted", reads her short goodbye message. So, I suppose the girls better start thinking about a replacement for Carmit -but please, girls, if you're reading this, please don't make Paris Hilton a member of your band. I know she'd desperately try to land the job, but think of our retinas and our stomachs, grit your teeth and do the right thing. Oh, and Tori Spelling is not cool, either. Any other such names come to mind?
