Well, then, what can I say - the Britney circus really had a great day yesterday, and while Brit Brit is probably sleeping peacefully now, knowing she has the kids off her back for at least another month, the rest of us mere mortals are left contemplating the disaster and wondering exactly when will anyone decide to have this crazy loon committed to a mental facility, where she can get help. I mean, it's all one big mess - and since the story has been covered on pretty much every news channel, every official site and blog on this planet, I'm sure most of you know by now that yesterday was (supposed to be) a big day for Brit, as she had just about the last shot in a long time to get at least some visitation rights back and be able to see her boys. But, as the French say, c'est la vie - such is life, and since it's Britney we're talking about, I for one am feeling pretty thankful there were no hostages taken and no shots were fired.

What happened then? Well, a media circus to be sure. Britney decided to arrive in court about four hours late and when she got there she apparently freaked out at the sight of all the paparazzi waiting for her and got back into her car. After another attempt to return to the court house via an underground tunnel, during which she is said to have met her lawyers (and told them she was not going to testify) - Britney decided to do the sensible thing and bailed. As in, split. Left. Got back into the car and drove away. But never fear - this was definitely not the end of the day's saga. On her way back home, she stopped for a few minutes at a church and then went to have lunch with her paparazzi friend. I guess she's only afraid whenever she gets near a court house. I mean, there's only so much a girl can do when she's hungry...

The fact is, based on hearing evidence from two policemen, two court monitors, KFed's lawyer and a bodyguard, the Commissioner predictably decided to keep Britney away from her kids by not restoring her visitation rights, which she completely lost after her very public meltdown almost two weeks ago. The fact is, Britney continues her downward spiral by showing no interest whatsoever in getting back her kids, and insists on dividing her time between her pap boyfriend Adnan and her even shadier friend Sam Lufti. I hardly dare ask myself what will come next.
