It's very funny to read about Katie Holmes praising her husband Tom Cruise and telling the world about how she manages to turn him on. I mean, yes, it may seem like a tough job for a lady (OK, that was mean - but what I wanted to say was that in fact Tom Cruise is a difficult man to please) but she claims to make it just fine. In the end, the fact that she ended up marrying him is a big clue she won the game - but if you go online and run a search with their names, you'll see that in fact Katie and Tom are perhaps the most controversial couple of the moment in terms of the mixed press they have been getting for quite a long time now. However, Katie tries to make it sound like all is well in paradise - although whether or not she manages to convince us, that's a completely different issue.
"Tom likes me in a suit and a mini every now and then. I like it when he likes it. It makes me blush! He'll say, 'You look good. I hope security is going with you.' Now that gives me attitude". Um, isn't that a bit over-rated? If Katie learned her lines by heart, like some magazine claims she does, whoever wrote them didn't do a very good job. I mean, she's been married, had a kid and is (supposedly) having sex with Tom regularly - and yet she blushes like a high school prom queen when he pays her compliments about looking good in a suit. "He knows what he's doing. When he decides to do something, he does it. It's great. It's hot" Katie said - allegedly about Tom's new hobby, which is flying. But I have a feeling that she may have been trying to hint at something other than that. But her attempt at subtlety may be - well, a little to subtle.
One other not so brilliant idea Katie had was to talk about the birth of her daughter, Suri. If she tried to quell the rumors about the fact that Tom made her go through labor in silence, she definitely did not do a very good job - simply because she didn't deny it. "I had Tom by my side the whole time. I couldn't have asked for a more supportive human being. He had the room ready, candles everywhere, pictures in frames. It was very homey and beautiful". Candles and framed pictures? That sure doesn't sound very homely - in fact, I get the same feeling as while watching a horror movie and seeing the camera pan to a room that looked beautiful but in which you knew something bad was about to happen. Slightly creepy! Well, Katie seems to know best - or does she? No one can tell for sure.
