Although consumers seem not to be so enthusiastic about 3D, manufacturers keep pushing into the market all sort of 3D enabled displays, Hyundai being the latest to come forth with such a narrow bezel display solution, designed to be used in video-wall applications, like the 138-inch screen presented during the Korea Electronics Show 2010.

In order to reach that jumbo screen size, Hyundai had used nine 46-inch LCD displays, arranged in a 3 by 3 configuration, resulting a screen as high as an adult man.

Apart from the impressive size reached, Hyundai says their screen is a lot brighter than everything the competition has in store, as their Super Narrow Bezel is able to provide viewers with 700 candelas, making it 150 percent brighter than a normal LCD TV.

Furthermore, unlike other existing big-screen 3D solutions Hyundai's screen relies on more advanced polarized glasses for displaying that depth effect that is associated with 3D viewing.

As a result this screen can be used even in well lit places, a feat that isn't possible with displays that used passive glasses.

As far as their range of applications goes, these new displays will serve well in exhibition centers, museums, and 3D production companies where a large number of people have to watch 3D content at the same time.

Unfortunately, Hyundai didn't state if video-walls comprised of more than nine displays are possible with their slim bezel display technology or for just how much will such a unit retail.

According to Korea IT Times this is just one of the solutions that Hyunday had to showcase during the expo, the company also presenting a 70-inch premium table display, that can be used for searching for all sort of informations on the Web while also coming with a wide range of inputs for TVs, Blu-ray players, PCs or game consoles.
