Adding to the wide range of display panels for desktop computers is the new monitor released by Hyundai IT. The company has launched the V236Wa, a 23-inch, TFT, Full-HD liquid crystal display (LCD) with an actual screen size of 58.42 cm. The display solution has a glossy, black frame and, despite its lack of variation concerning video input options, it can still become a stylish, chic addition to any desktop computer.

Unlike some years ago when there was a single type of output for monitors, the industry has seen the rapid rise of multiple interfaces, which enable displays to output video content at a higher resolution and a better image quality. Today's monitors aren't just built with a VGA or a D-sub, they often have both, along with an HDMI connector and/or a DisplayPort. The V236Wa from Hyundai does not, only featuring a single D-sub input.

Still, despite this restriction, its other capabilities go well with its price of 159 Euro. The Hyundai IT V236Wa LCD has a Dynamic Contrast ratio of 20,000:1 and a brightness of 300 cd/m². Its TFT screen can display 1920 x 1080-resolution images in a 16:9 format and in 16.7 million colors. The monitor is compatible with VESA standard 100 x 100 mm and is WEEE, RoHS compliant.

As extra features, the monitor is prepared for the Kensington lock security system, features automatic synchronization and viewing angles of 170 ° (horizontal) and 160 ° (vertical). The product has a switching speed of 5ms.

As other desktop monitors, the V236Wa is built with two 2W stereo speakers, which remove the need for additional sound output solutions. The monitor is already available in Europe and has the recommended price tag of 159 Euro. The Hyundai IT V236Wa is backed by a three-year warranty.
