With stereoscopic 3D getting increasingly widespread adoption, it was just a matter of time before yet another display capable of it showed up, and Hyundai IT just joined the fray with the W243S, a 24-inch display for professionals.

A large number of the 3D-ready monitors unveiled so far have been created with consumers in mind and optimized for gaming.

Still, there are also those displays that are intended for the professional segment, such as the one using a TN panel that Hyundai IT just unveiled in Europe.

The newcomer goes by the name of W243S and is best suited for such things as 3D modeling, design and simulation, though it has nothing to prevent it from acting as a home monitor.

In fact, the newcomer supposedly has everything it needs in order to perform well during 3D movie playback or gaming.

First off, the native resolution of Hyundai IT's creation is 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, beyond even the 1,920 x 1,080 pixels that is required for Full HD support.

This resolution is complemented by the brightness of 300 cd/m2 and the response time of 5ms, plus the dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000:1.

The product also comes with a pair of 3W speakers, so that one need not spend extra funds on an auxiliary sound system.

Furthermore, the company gave its device multiple connectivity options, namely D-Sub, DVI, Component and even HDMI 1.3.

Finally, the company bundled its offspring with software that makes it possible to convert 2D video content into 3D.

As for the design, for productivity and comfort, the stand of the LCD can pivot and is capable of height adjustment.

Hyundai IT is selling the 24-inch W243S for 1,399 Euro and coupled with a three-year warranty plan. All that remains is for end-users that have a system capable of making the best of it step up and start placing orders.
