Seeing how companies are incessantly launching either graphics cards or displays, Hyundai figured it would provide something of its own to the LCD market, the most recent move on its part being the W223D monitor.

The W223D, as its name implies, has a screen size of 22 inches, though the 3D in the title does not mean it has 3D support.

Instead, it is what one could see as a high-end monitor that excels in terms of response time and overall image quality.

One thing is that it supports the Full HD-supporting resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, meaning it is a widescreen panel.

Another of the more noteworthy assets is that the response time is of 2 ms, on a market where the arguably more common displays offer 5ms or 8ms, though this is not exactly a rule per se.

Additionally, the Hyundai WD223D boasts a dynamic contrast ratio (DCR) of 30,000:1, meaning that its image sharpness should be more than satisfactory.

The brightness can be said to be the only trait that does not stand out in any particular way, being of 250 cd/m2 when high-end models often go to over 300 or even 400 cd/m2.

On the other hand, its maker went to the trouble of implementing a pair of 3W speakers and even a stand with tilt, rotation and height adjustment. What's more, there are multiple video inputs, namely D-Sub, DVI and HDMI.

Finally, the newcomer features a two-color exterior, with a white back panel and a black front frame.

All in all, this product should prove more than satisfactory in any multimedia, gaming or any other consumer applications.

The Hyundai IT W223D should start to be listed online shortly, in Europe at least, where it is accompanied by a three-year warranty. Actual purchases will be done in exchange for the sum of 259 Euro.
