Jay Z’s music streaming service Tidal hasn’t been performing as well as expected, so that’s one negative thing he has to deal with. To make matters worse, it seems that people are determined to find fault with him even when there’s no ground for it.
A photo from the new Tidal HQ emerged online, showing Jay and wife Beyonce posing for a group picture with several employees. At first glance, the photo is relatively innocent, until you realize that they are the only Blacks in it.
Within minutes after it popped up on social media, Twitter is flooded with comments about what a hypocrite Jay was, since only days before, during a NYC concert, he went on a rant about how the Black community should be more supportive of his endeavor.
He compared Tidal to Apple, Google and Nike and blamed the Black community for showing these more support than they did Tidal. Many felt “tricked” into taking out a subscription for the service thinking they were doing something for the Black community, others were just outraged at the double standards Jay seemed guilty of.
The only problem is that the photo was snapped in Norway, whose population is 97% white. The outrage and the controversy were for nothing.
BYE @ Jay Z for for saying people don't like Tidal becaue it's a "black company" when the entire staff is white. pic.twitter.com/bQmGarQ3hS

Yeah Tidal lacks black employees but we must remember a black man with no degree is the boss of 100 white employees with degrees
