The latest motherboard announced by abit supports ATI Hybrid CrossFireX Technology enabling high level 3D graphics performance. A-S78H, an AMD 780G chipset based motherboard, features ATI Radeon HD3200 Graphics and the SB700 southbridge. The processors are AM2+/AM2 running HT3.0 up to 5200MT/s. The graphic performance was enhanced to the full, through the supported ATI Hybrid CrossFireX Technology, ATI UVD hardware decoding and the Surround View Technology.

Beside the AMD AM2+/AM2 processors, the motherboard has up to 8GB of memory on its four 240-pin DIMM sockets for Dual Channel DDR2 1066 modules (also compatible with 800MHz and 667MHz). For expansion or some system upgrades, there are 1 x PCI-E2.0X16, 1 x PCI-E X1, and 2 x PCI slots. The motherboard features 6 SATA 3Gb/s connectors, one Gigabit Ethernet adapter and 5.1-Channel HD sound card. On the back panel, you'll find four USB2.0 ports, 1 x RJ-45 LAN Connector, as well as the graphic card outputs, HDMI, VGA and DVI.

The ATI Hybid CrossFireX Technology allows users to add another graphics card to the system and obtain, through the multi-GPU performance capabilities, extreme performance experience. The integrated GPU operates simultaneously with the discrete graphics card, combining output to a single display that offers high performance frame rate. ATI HD2400XT, HD2400Pro, HD3470 and HD3450 based graphic processors can be used with the hybrid graphics technology to provide the ultimate visual experience.

Improved graphics is also given by the DirectX10 features of the integrated GPU. While through it, the best 3D effects are rendered, the ATI UVD hardware decoder reduces the CPU utilization even in the most demanding moments. This way, power consumption is also lowered and Blu-ray or HD-DVD video playback becomes more enjoyable. Along with these, the SurroundView Technology allows any user to spread his work across four monitors.

A-S78H also features abit utilities like SoftMenu, EQ and FlashMenu. These let users boost the performance of the CPU with up to 50% more, but also protect the system by constantly monitoring voltages, CPU and system fans speed, plus CPU/system temperature. Finally, the abit FlashMenu enables the public to make an easy, quick and safe BIOS update.
