David Otunga is feeling “sidelined by her obsession with her weight”

Jennifer Hudson has managed to completely transform her body since she signed with Weight Watchers in 2010. Now 80 pounds (36.2 kg) slimmer, she’s still on the program, which seems to be causing some friction with her husband, says a new report.

The National Enquirer writes in its latest print issue (story via CB) that David is trying to convince Jennifer to come off Weight Watchers because he misses the girl she was before she started obsessing with her weight.

He also believes it would be a smarter choice professionally for her to do so.

“When they met, she was a happy, proud, healthy woman who loved food and embraced every aspect of life with so much enthusiasm,” an insider says for the tab.

“Now she takes up to four hours to get ready when they go out, and she gets stressed out every time she puts a morsel of food in her mouth,” adds the insider.

As if this wasn’t enough to put some strain on their marriage, David also thinks that the attention Jennifer is getting for her weight loss, as amazing as it might be, is actually damaging her career.

In other words, people are talking too much about how slim and gorgeous she is, and too little about her music or her films.

Knowing the kind of warm praises Jennifer got for her amazing performance on American Idol last night, a duet with Candice Glover, we’d beg to differ.

Either way, the Enquirer claims, David isn’t happy about Jennifer’s relationship with Weight Watchers.

“David tells her he thinks she’s beautiful no matter what size she is, but he misses the down-to-earth ‘I don’t care’ Jen… every meal is a pain in the [backside], and he’s starting to feel totally sidelined by her obsession with her weight,” adds another insider, who chooses to go unnamed.
