Husband Says Celine Dion Is Not Pregnant with Second Child

41-year-old singing sensation Celine Dion is not expecting her and husband Rene Angelil’s second child, Rene himself tells the media. Although widely reported back in August that she was pregnant, it turns out the fertility treatment she recently underwent has proven unsuccessful, Us Magazine reports.

“Celine Dion is not expecting a second child. Despite headlines this past summer claiming that the 41-year-old singer was expecting, Us Magazine has learned she was never pregnant and that it was a misdiagnosis. Rene Angelil confirmed to Canadian newspaper Journal de Montreal that the latest in vitro fertilization treatment she underwent in October was unsuccessful.” Us Magazine writes.

According to Rene, Celine was never pregnant and she has just recently found out the sad news. She was supposed to give birth in May next year, reports initially had it. However, she’s said to be doing well and to have already decided to continue the treatment and try again for a baby soon. Celine Dion is the youngest of 14 siblings and has expressed her desire of having a larger family on countless other occasions.

“‘We’re living the reality of the majority of couples who face these procreation techniques,’ he told the paper. [Celine] and Angelil have an 8-year-old son, Rene-Charles, who was conceived by in vitro fertilization after six years of trying. While trying to conceive her first child, she had her embryos frozen in liquid nitrogen.” the aforementioned magazine explains.

At the time reports of the second pregnancy leaked to the media, with many a reputed media outlet picking them up and passing them on as accurate, the singer’s official website was also updated to state that all rumors were just rumors until confirmed there first, as we also informed you. Other than that, Celine, 41, and Rene, 67, did not make a statement confirming the so-called pregnancy.
