Time is running out!

Since Valentine's Day is getting closer and closer and the gifts you get for this occasion to that special person need to carry a message, a colored iPod shuffle seems to be almost the perfect gift, but you can take things a step further and take advantage of Apple's special offer, as long as it's still available, and I am not talking about the free shipping or the free gift wrapping!

What I have in mind is the free laser engraving for the iPod you may be buying one of these days, and if you have this nice addition in mind, you have to hurry up, but not that much to miss my few words about laser engraving, since we hear about it so often, but I am sure that most of us can't tell much about it.

Laser engraving, as its name says, is the practice of engraving or marking an object using lasers, and sometimes gets described incorrectly as etching, which properly involves the use of an acid or a chemical with similar properties. The technique can be very complex and full of technical mumbo-jumbo for most of us, and a computerized system is used to drive the movements of the laser head in cases where accuracy is very important, like engraving "Yours Forever, iJohn" on your Valentine's Day iPod gift.

Despite the complexity of this technique, very precise and clean engravings can be achieved at a high rate, and if you have ever had an engraved iPod or other laser-engraved object that required accuracy, then you know what I mean.

The bad part is that if you want to make such a surprise to your Valentine, you have to hurry up and place your order before the 6th of February. Since there are still enough days left, my suggestion is to think well, because once it's engraved, it's there forever. Although it's early, I wish you a happy iValentine together with your beloved one and your engraved iPods from now!
