Huntkey, like any other player on the IT market, likes it when it has a good chance to show off and, since it is a sponsor of the Gigabyte Overhauling 2010 global overclocking competition, it decided to take advantage of this occasion to unravel its latest high-end PSU, the X7 1,200W model.

Hardware makers periodically release new motherboards, CPUs, memory modules and kits, video boards and audio solutions for the enthusiast market.

Companies also make a point of adding as much aesthetic value as they can to these types of inventions, knowing the ever present need to that such consumers have show off.

As such, it is not a surprise to hear that Huntkey made the best of its position as sponsor of the Gigabyte Overhauling 2010 global overclocking competition.

What Huntkey did was promote its latest enthusiast-grade power supply, the X7 model with a power output of 1,200W.

The model has an active PFC, six 12V rails, is compatible with the ATX12V v2.3 and EPS12V v2.92 standards and has an 80Plus Silver rating.

This is the company's new flagship PSU and has four so-called unique features that ensure high stability and efficiency under all loads.

These special features are the Phase-Shifted Full-bridge, an Interleaved PFC, a DC-DC module and Synchronous Rectification.

Basically, this modular power supply will provide a strong and stable flow of power to any high-end configuration, and its MTBF of 100,000 hours should act as testament to its endurance.

"This is our first time to unveil X7 1200W PSU worldwide," Villa Li, Huntkey Product Manager said. "We believe this power supply will impress lots of PC enthusiasts."

“The Huntkey X7 1200W power supply supports the latest hardware configuration with high high-performance graphic cards under the Microsoft Window7 OS,” the press release adds.

Finally, the product is equipped with a thermally-controlled fan but, unfortunately, has not been given a price yet.
